Kingdom Hall pranks (or persecution)
by Dismissing servant inhere in sweden there has been som cases with changing the kingdom hall signs.
in some congregation the elders went nuts, in others they were calm and more or less laughed obout it.. but, someone probably discovered that it is possible to rearrange the letters in the word "rikets sal" (kingdom hall) into "skitarsle" ( direct translated "sh*t-a**hole", or freely translated: "a**hole full of sh*t, an invective) probably it were young boys doing this as a prank.
but it has happened in a lot of towns, and got some media attention.

In the XJW-community the word "Skitarsle" is nowdays the common expression for those Kingdumb Hells.

An interesting parallell. The structure og cults are similar.
I our swedish XJW community we had a mormon girl who were very active defending mormonism during the autumn last year. We had a lot of debate. There was a case in wich a mormon psychiatrist recruited his patien, a teenage girl, to the mormon church. Her parents reported this to the police and to the medical association. This mormon lady was very ipset that the parents of the youg girl reported this psychiatrist, and calling the mormon church a cult.
But, yesterday she wrote again on the forum telling us that she had left the mormon church since a while. She started to see similariteis between mormonism and the JW's, especially control and manipulation. She could not believe what she really wrote during the autumn. She seems to feel much happier now, her parets and her friends have told her that she has changed a lot!

Hate Crime against Members of a Congregation
by cantleave ini recieved this email from an active witness regarding "hate crimes" against members of the congregation he/she attends.
it is interesting as to how the elders are dealing with it.. .
for some time our hall has been suffering minor vandalism.

It might be an active JW with mental issues. I remeber a case with a young brother, in his early 20's beginning acting wierd and distructive. It was then obvios that he suffered from paranoid schizofrenia.

"I like it, .. a lot. "
I hope you are thinking of the "Skitarsle", not what cantleave told us.

Cantleave: It could be someone who has been DF, and had his life ruined, probably someone with mental problems. Probably someone with connection to the congregation. I think the elders know more than the expose to the congregation. But they don't want to stirr things up.
It's really sad.

"Untrue, Still. Shown by the fact that many people curse God now, who (say) they do not believe He is there."
Oh no..I would not think that you should make this mistake. A non believer can discuss Gud as a concept, a litterary figure. We can diskuss Gatsby the great , King Lear, Prince Hamlet or Sherlock Holmes aswell, without believing that they exist/existed in reality.

"
hey Tammy next time you are talking with GOD .. maybe he can tell you how communicate his message better so as not pi$ everyone off.
your pulling out the blame the victim card is pretty lame..
try someting better .. or is that all you got
but I usually avoid reading anything from you.. and I'll most likely continue that trend.. as I don't like being angry"
Just a few points I find interesting.
First: A lot of christian apologist are reasoning in a same way. God is omnipotent and omniscient. He knows everything and he can do anything. But , still HE IS NOT RESPONSABLE, and cannot be blamed for anything.
Second: I also find this reasoning very provocative, at least I did some years ago when I startded debating Christianity/theology. Maybe x-JW's have a low tolerande for BS. But I think those debates are really good, it exposes different kinds of religios belief.

Hi again Tec. I'll try to not get a bit upset.
"The experience shows us that we need not doubt that God has forsaken US either, even though others are causing us pain... because He has not. "
The very fact that Jese cried out that he was forsaken is now an indication that he was not forsaken, even though he believed he was. You know, twisting of scriptures like this can be very provocative for former cult members, just because we have been hearing this so many times.
But, the consequence of this must be that Jesus (The word of Truth) was completley wrong that time. As someone said earlier in this thread...according to the bible was not "just anybody".
